Alliance formed with Central West Care to assist youth at risk

Recently, Graeme Phillips Leadership & Horses Australia, formed a working alliance with Steph Stocks from Central West Care to offer equine guided programs to youth at risk in the Bathurst area.  Whilst the focus of LHA has to date been on corporate and public sector teams and individuals, this new partnership opens up many exciting opportunities.  Programs for youth at risk are well established in other parts of the world including Ireland, USA and Canada.  Youths participating in equine guided education develop self confidence and improved self awareness.

Steph Stocks says "I am excited with the opportunity to bring youth at risk into your program and for them to gain from the interaction with horses.  Many of these kids have never even been up close to a horse and it is what dreams are made of."

Programs for local youth will commence at Yarrabin in spring 2008, with the aim to extend to youth in Sydney and nearby regions.  Our plan is to approach governments for grants and corporates for grants as a way to fund these programs.
