Alliance formed with Central West Care to assist youth at risk

Recently, Graeme Phillips Leadership & Horses Australia, formed a working alliance with Steph Stocks from Central West Care to offer equine guided programs to youth at risk in the Bathurst area. Whilst the focus of LHA has to date been on corporate and public sector teams and individuals, this new partnership opens up many exciting opportunities. Programs for youth at risk are well established in other parts of the world including Ireland, USA and Canada. Youths participating in equine guided education develop self confidence and improved self awareness.

Steph Stocks says "I am excited with the opportunity to bring youth at risk into your program and for them to gain from the interaction with horses. Many of these kids have never even been up close to a horse and it is what dreams are made of."

Programs for local youth will commence at Yarrabin in spring 2008, with the aim to extend to youth in Sydney and nearby regions. Our plan is to approach governments for grants and corporates for grants as a way to fund these programs.

Leadership & Horses Australia is now World Famous!

Leadership & Horses Australia is now world famous. A team from Reuters produced a video and wrote an article on us that went world wide! Many news services picked up one of items, with some opting to give it front page coverage. We have reached into the far corners of the world, to such places as China, India, USA, Canada, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Germany, UAE, Israel, Japan, Spain, Belgium and Kuwait to name just a few. And within Australia, the article was published in Melbourne's The Age newspaper and The Business Spectator.

A former guest of Yarrabin Holiday Ranch even saw the video clip on the main news in Singapore. She was sitting down to watch TV one evening with her parents, bemoaning not being able to easily get back to Yarrabin. And then she saw the video clip, and was blown away! Such a small world...

We are still waiting for the hordes of wealthy Arab corporate companies to come knocking on our doors...

Scottish Guru Launches Leadership & Horses Australia Corporate Program

International renowned expert of experiential learning with horses, Beth Duff from Scotland, recently travelled Down Under to launch Leadership & Horses Australia to the corporate market. Beth, founder of the Red Horse Speaks, was invited by Graeme and Annie Phillips to give the keynote address and share some practical demonstrations and team building skills.

The launch was conducted in two segments over the week 11 to 14 March 2008. Representatives from corporate clients such as Fish River Roasters, Graham Garage Doors, and accounting firm Fraser Accountancy attended the launch and were impressed with the value and power of the program.

Various media also covered the launch. Beth and Graeme were interviewed on local radio and TV, and Graeme gave an interview on ABC radio. Some media were so engaged with the program that many stayed for a few hours and fully participated in the activities and discussions.
